Space and Materiality (Week 2)

After the first class, we got the raw materials according to the category and discussed its origin and their properties with the professor.

During the 2nd half, we were told to make coasters as our experts introduced us with the tools in our previous class. Before working in the studio, we made designs within 4×4 inches square and got approved by our professor. The coasters took a lot of efforts while making them. We first sketched the design on MDF board then carved and etch accordingly. To give the finishing i used flat and round file. This work took more than usual but i enjoyed a lot while doing it.
